A colleague was telling me about a project she was working on and the pressure to make it “incredible.”
We talked about what the people it was going to help really needed.
We unpacked the pressure to perform she was putting on herself.
And we figured a funny detail out about just “how incredible” it needed to be.
Turns out, it didn’t have to be incredible at all. It needed to be incredibly useful.
And that’s a mantra to live by:
Don’t worry if it’s incredible, but definitely make sure it’s incredibly useful.
