Podcast Of The Week: A Customer Service Company That Just Happens To Sell Shoes

Tony Hsieh thought of Zappos as, “a customer service company that just happens to sell shoes.”
We lost him at the age of 46 this week. Talking about him with others, I’ve realized a lot of people don’t know much about him or his story. NPR captured a brilliant (and short) overview of his life and work on the How I Built This podcast episode, “Remembering Tony Hsieh of Zappos.”

If the concept of putting experience in front of product resonates with you at all, read his book, Delivering Happiness. If you missed it, I also shared some lessons I learned from him here.
