Few people have done more to help us crazy humans understand the ways we operate and act in this crazy world than Daniel Kahneman. Sam Harris recently sat with him for about 2 hours at the Beacon Theatre in NYC and captured an incredible conversation about his life’s work and what he’s thinking about now. They cover the replication crisis, intuition and recognition, how framing works, and even some thoughts on social media vs. in-person behavioral differences. You can’t listen to this and not walk away smarter. System one and two make a few guest appearances too.
Bonus material: The Undoing Project is the Michael Lewis version of his life’s work (and it’s excellent), and Thinking Fast And Slow is his version (which changed the way I personally saw and understood the world).
