Former Netflix Chief Talent Officer Patty McCord was on Masters in Business with Barry Ritholtz this week. Suffice it to say her book (Powerful: Building a Culture of Freedom) just got bumped up on my reading list.
Like Beyoncé, you can’t do it alone – so how should you think of the people you surround yourself with? What about the people you fill your company with?
If you don’t get to the podcast, at least take this career advice from her: “it’s not what you know or who you know, it’s who knows what you know.” Get your uniqueness out there into the world.
