It’s good to have a reason to stop and stare at the sky. The moon has been putting in some serious work this week (at least over me in New England).
“Harvest Moon” would be the obvious song to sing, but I’ve been subjecting my dogs on our evening walks to renditions of “Grapefruit Moon” by Tom Waits.
Maybe it’s the moon shining in between the streetlights. Maybe it’s the lack of a proper harvest. It just feels right.
“Grapefruit Moon” sounds like an old photo you didn’t expect to find. You take one look – and you’re cracked open and focused in all at once.
