Dancing In The (International) Dark
But “Dancing in the Dark” is always not far off.
It was the first single on Born in the U.S.A.
It was the product of a fight with the producer, Jon Landau, over how he “wasn’t hearing a single” on the record, yet.
Bruce allegedly cursed him out, went to his hotel room for the night, and returned the next day with the song.
And Bruce’s version of the song is great. It was a single. And it’s still great.
But, my favorite version, the greatest version maybe even, it might just be this overseas cover.
Here’s Jørgen Dahl Moe, on The Voice Norway, in a shirt I’m pretty sure I had in middle school, absolutely destroying this song in the best way I couldn’t have even imagined.
