Escaping The Old > Finding The New

John Maynard Keynes had bars. Emphasis added:

The difficulty lies, not in the new ideas, but in escaping the old ones, which ramify, for those brought up as most of us have been, into every corner of our minds.

New and novel aren’t hard. Change, adaptation, and evolution, they’re the tricky part.

It’s one thing to think about going to space. It’s another to launch the rocket and hit the required escape velocity to break free from orbit.

Whether it’s personal growth or helping others to get wherever “there!” is, respect the challenge. But then, please, GO.

Growth is always one part new and another part escape. Keep both in mind.
