Every meeting is an interview.

The conversation. The call. The exchange. The huddle. The meet-up.

Meetings are where we gain enrollment, for ourselves or the others, by confirming or convincing or convening over whatever happens next.

For all of the chaos of COVID and what it’s done to meetings and interviews, it’s amazing how much some people have gotten done.

Without question, these are the people who see each meeting as an interview. It might not be for a job or something so specific, but it’s an opportunity to create a reason for a follow-up or a follow-through.

Every interaction is a chance to drive progress. If we treat every meeting as an interview, we’ll keep our best foot forward and keep ourselves in motion.
