Famous Vs. Cool Thing To Do This Weekend
I never figured out how to be famous.
When I did music, I was always good for being involved with something at least a few people would (usually) show up to see.
You don’t have to be famous to make a cool thing happen on a Saturday night.
200 people at a local spot isn’t 20,000 people at MSG. But it can be just as fun.
There’s a work lesson in here for people who don’t want to build the next world-dominating enterprise.
If fame isn’t the target, the audience’s experience suddenly becomes the most important thing.*
*well, next to making your art – which if nobody else wants to see/hear/buy it, you should probably read that audience experience point one more time or get happy with your hobby.
