Khe Hy: There’s No Playbook For Grief

Khe Hy shared a personal story about losing a friend in a tragic hit-and-run incident.

As only he can do, he deconstructs the grief and how it hit him.

It’s not an easy read, but it’s an important one.

You or someone you love (and honestly, all of us) will deal with loss. It’ll be confusing, maddening, terrifying, depressing, etc.

Comments like this can help,

When someone we love dies, we get so busy mourning what died that we ignore what didn’t.

Here’s to remembering.

Here’s to celebrating.

Here’s to living as much life as we can get our grubby little hands on.

ps. I lost my dog Raven last weekend. It happened after I wrote this post but before I scheduled it to share, and I miss her. Pretty bad. One-leash walks instead of two doesn’t feel right yet. I know it’ll be OK with time, but I’m doing my best to sit with the positive memories (and spoil the living crap out of my other little buddy Otis). Tell the people and pets you love that you love them.

pss. I’ve got a handful of posts where Raven was mentioned and I’m not up for digging through them right now, but here you go if you’re interested https://cultishcreative.com/page/2/?s=dogs
