As the end of May approached, and Liverpool was up for not one, but four distinct titles (an incredible opportunity and feat if achieved), the pressure was on the coach. Extra. A reporter pressed him on what if the only title they won was the least prestigious.
Think about it for a second and then I’ll give you the quote.
What if you succeeded, but only in the most basic way?
Here’s what Jurgen Klopp said,
The world is not full of winners, the world is full of triers hopefully. And I try and sometimes I win with other people together. I am happy with that. I am not always positive; give me a second and I will find a reason for optimism… We will try. We cannot do more and I can enjoy that. If people can’t, I cannot change that.
