Making Magic By Investing Time

James Clear shared this Teller (as in Penn and Teller) quote:

Sometimes magic is just someone spending more time on something than anyone else might reasonably expect.

It’s not just spending some time, it’s practicing, studying, adjusting, working, performing, tweaking, questioning, debating, and more.

Magic tricks aren’t actual magic, they’re well thought out, well rehearsed, and well performed acts of time and investment.

Where we put the time in is where the magic shows up. The more concentrated the effort, the more difference it can make.
