Brian Koppelman has been keeping my life interesting since Rounders came out in 1998. Technically, that clock starts earlier if we give him credit for “Fast Car” too, but I’ll stick with his artistic work for now. Let’s just say that I’m willing to try anything with his name on it.

His newest (granted, four seasons deep) show – Billions remains a beautifully entertaining piece of modern Shakespearean drama documenting high power in high society’s public and private sector. Can it be cheesy or pulp-y? Sure, but you can still love to hate it. It’s pure entertainment.
