Podcast of the Week: The Dying Art of Conversation

Celeste Headlee is one of the great interviewers of talk radio. Between her book, We Need to Talk: How to Have Conversations that Matter, and her body of work (largely at NPR), she brings a wealth of information learned from her mentors and her experiences that we can draw from. Shane Parrish had her on his podcast, The Knowledge Project, to talk about all of these topics and more.

For any professional, and especially anyone in a leadership, management, or sales role, consider this essential information. The dying art of conversation means those who are willing to develop the skill can have a modern superpower. Knowing how to talk to others and draw them out is how things get done.

If you still need more convincing or a practical angle, I wrote about applying some of these lessons earlier this week here.

Enjoy.
