Podcast of the Week: When NPR Spits Fire

A good critic can tell you something they don’t like and why. There’s an art to this, and a time and place for offering these types of dissections. NPR’s Pop Culture Happy Hour typically isn’t a place one will hear a takedown piece, but this week’s episode questioning the merits of “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Vice,” and “Green Book” is worth hearing.

Next time you’re part of a post- (or pre-) mortem on a project, business plan, or investment, consider bringing this type of intellectual and contextual rigor to the conversation. Not to pan something for sake of panning it, but because it’s a valuable skill to be able to spot BS and communicate it well.

NPR, you gangsters you, I’m impressed.
