Sunday Music: Hathaway on My Block

A little Sunday soul. Sometimes the grocery store music really catches me off guard. I actually heard “Be Real Black for Me” by Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway the other day. I understand the occasional Earth, Wind and Fire hit, but this is a pretty deep cut. It’s a beautifully tender song, and it also was later sampled by a number of rappers, with my favorite being Scarface’s “On My Block.”
