Rolling Stone has a piece up celebrating “Hey Jude” at 50. My favorite version, and my default association has to be Wilson Pickett’s version (featuring Duane Allman). The soul, the tenderness, the performance – it’s a masterpiece rendition of one of the greatest songs ever written.
