8+ months of prep. The work, the effort, the sacrifice that went into creating the performance are as staggering as the performance itself. Anyone who appreciates production and design can find something to appreciate here, even if you’re not a card-carrying member of the Beyhive.
No detail is left unattended, and even if I could have dealt with a documentary strictly about the prep, getting a small behind the scenes peek into rehearsals, costumes, lighting, arrangements, casting – it makes one appreciate the size, scope, and ambition of this production. Seeing the full performance cut together from multiple cameras and angles is an added bonus.
Long live the Queen.
