The First Cut Is The Cheapest

Did you know who wrote this song?! I didn't...

“The first cut is the deepest…”

Do you know who wrote it?

Guess.

Sheryl Crow? Rod Stewart? P.P. Arnold?

Nope, all wrong.

17-year old Cat Stevens wrote it.

And then he sold it, to P.P. Arnold, for 30 quid.

It was 1967.

The song launched his career, when they all made (and kept making it) a hit.

Do great work.

Share it.

Do more great work.

Share it again.

Repeat until dead.

h/t Peter Atwater for sharing this one with me
