The Sucky Part Of Habit (Mozart Edition)

Mozart was recognized as a musical genius at a young age.

It didn’t hurt that his dad was an accomplished musician either.

But from the age of 6 on, Wolfgang Amadeus was in the public eye, making music.

By the age of 28, his hands were messed up. Turns out, all the practicing, performing, and quill gripping takes a toll. This is the downside of habit.

The creativity paradox.

If we are compelled to create by the muse and our curiosities, what will compel us to… stop?

I don’t have an answer.

All I know is the compulsion can also make beautiful music.
