They’re Waiting For You To Notice

I love asking people if they’re an “everything happens for a reason” person OR a “nothing happens for a reason, but you get to pick your own” person.

I’m in the latter camp. I’ve found peace with the people in the first. Most of the time we’re saying the same thing.

Here’s why:

Do work. Get feedback. Apply. Repeat.

The people you want to serve are waiting for you to notice what they want help with.

Don’t take it from me, take it from Yeats (and approach it from whatever angle gets you to follow all the way through):

The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.

Do the work. Gather the feedback. Apply it. Do it again.

And again.

And again.

And either accept the reasons the universe is smacking you as a sign OR throw a well-reasoned punch back into its vast, otherwise meaningless face.

Work. Listen. Adjust. Again.

It’s the only way a great idea can grow.

ps. so what kind of a person are you?
