Your Network As A Personal Trainer Directory

Unless you’re conducting explorative research into areas “where no man has gone before” – somebody has done some version of whatever it is you’re trying to do.

I know that sounds redundant, but I’m trying to remind myself of that as much as possible.

I’m grateful for the network I have and to be able to seek out those people whenever I’m trying to figure something out. I want to remind myself to reach out even more frequently.

Public speakers, investors, programmers, musicians, lawyers – they’re like personal trainers for whatever I need help working on.

While the internet acts as a shortcut to the equivalent of the greatest library every amassed, our human networks give us access to great curators of those libraries, which unlike physical documents, they know us personally and can give feedback.

We’d be fools not to use it.

All of it.

Libraries, friends, and friends we haven’t made yet.

I think my understanding of David Burkus’ Friend of a Friend just got deeper.
