They’re asking you what it means.

The client, the kid, the person you’re supposed to have the answers for.

So.

Do you know what it means?

It.

You know - THAT thing.

What’s it mean?

They’re asking.

They want an answer.

You’re the answer person.

YOU.

Pause. Take a breath.

(I feel that creeping anxiety, too).

Because,

All of this is just a reason for me to say -

Why is it so hard (and yet so satisfying) to say, “I don’t know.”

Not in question format.

In statement format.

If they’re asking,

The client, the kid, the person you’re supposed to answer,

I don’t know is still a viable answer.

And you have to practice it.

You have to do some stuff to get comfortable hearing it come out of your mouth.

Because it doesn’t sound or feel like an answer at first.

But it’s one of the truest truths you can learn to speak.

Learn to say it. Practice it.

Sometimes you will actually have an answer, too.

But when you don’t, it’s here for you.
