Feelings In Public
what do we even want people?!
If you admit to feeling something in public, you might upset somebody else.
They might even feel something nasty and send a harsh response back your way.
And if you’re both upset, it could get ugly.
Fast.
Social media makes it worse.
But mostly because passively stating our feelings dwarfs having active conversation about them.
The feelings part is ok.
The passive communication of them without having pro-active conversations about them is not.
If the world feels divided, it’s because it is, and because this part is hard.
The future is in figuring out how and where to have more of these conversations.
I am certain of it.
(I’m trying to live it, and model it, where I can. Not always successfully. But… I have hopes.)
