Root Down, In The Flow

When everything falls apart at the last second,

I found myself, again, in a situation where the plans had fallen apart at the last second.

Not in an actually terrible way.

My version of this is somebody had to cancel a (non-paying, mind you) podcast appearance at the last second, or a meeting request comes in for something urgent at the last second on a busy day.

It feels like it’ll be hard to pull all the pieces together. Like everything is falling apart at the seams.

And, I usually pause, take a deep breath and remind myself:

If you know your feet are on the ground, and where to find them, you’re good to flow.

It’s a requirement really.

To take the breath, remember you’re still attached and not floating away, and then get into that headspace where you know exactly what you’re doing.

It takes practice.

It takes reminders.

But, feet down, in the flow, feels pretty good once you’re doing it.
