When You Buy Your Own Life Some Lemons

A Mauricio Pochettino, coach of USMNT, lesson

Mauricio Pochettino, the world-renowned soccer coach, and current manager of the United States Men’s National Team, has a weird thing he does with lemons.

Poch kept a large box of lemons in his office at prior jobs.

Lemons, he believes, have a higher form of energy.

And, yes, they make lemonade, but they’re also sacred.

Some people believe they absorb bad energy (is that where the sour comes from?).

They can ripen further after being picked.

They, just because on a desk in an office they’re odd and out of place, might make a person stop and think for half a second (or more).

The world will had you enough proverbial lemons and mess you up as is.

Deliberately planting your own positively-infused reminders to stop, reflect, and grow—without negativity—can’t hurt.
